it means that even the persons most devoted to their work sometimes need to have a break as real vacations…
I think there is nobody in the world to oppose it – whatever country…
and the task of TOP managers is to provide good secretary job and colleagues assistance for a while somebody to have this vacation time properly. And next is and to survive when coming back after vacations and NOT finding heaps of un-controlled process…
This is what shows Co. TOPs to be best organized, wish to all of us to have this type!

Team work is a really endless theme to discuss!
But office people often seem to be afraid of making critics…This is what you mentioned as Cassandra-effect in some of previous posts. This is very rarely discussed considering as dangerous to the discussion members

Hi Olga,
I talk about vacation and occasional ability to be offline some times. I do not wish to go back and live without Internet. Internet helps me to stay in touch with friends. I do have my mobile phone but am sometimes happy when I can switch them off. I do understand the value of a (good) secretary, to keep my back clear so I can do my job. And sometimes it is nice to be offline and concentrate on the real world (i.e. family, friends). The good thing is, if I can control my time offline. A few weeks ago I was “forced offline”, moving. Whew. It drove me nuts
But again. Isn’t it nice sometimes to switch of the mobile phone (or “forget it at home” or in the office), to be traveling for vacation to a place where there’s no Internet and concentrate only on the accompanying person(s)? It can be rather relaxing…

Yes, I agree, sometimes it can be not okay and very pleasant to be always in access and to be reached for all your bosses, for tiresome people asking for something what takes your time and really is not so needed for them… -as discovered after…
sometimes happens, yes…

But in other angle: when there is nobody around there for you “walking, sitting next to and talking with ” – and suddenly some internet connection (which you are sometimes so tired of) brings you a word of friendship and support from the other side of the globe… also happens some time, yes?
Some people answer your questions, you come to know they are interested in communication – think different, but understanding… and share you food for thoughts… -then it seems not so bad, and our small world seems a little more united and more kind, agree? this is one of the reasons to write these opened Food for Thoughts, isn’t it?

I should like we had such good TOP- managers in all the world, that no wars happen.
And that is not depend on any TOP-managers: should like to know there are no more orphans, and every child has a family – not very business-related dream – maybe! But surely many TOP managers would show good example to take an orphan child into own family. And then – dream also- maybe they will be more honest in business also, and towards team people also… Dreams…

I hope, that the ITB was successfully for you and – of course – for Erfurt, too.

Right now, it´s a difficult time for the industry, but I think, that the Airport hast a lof potential in the future.

Hello Jürgen,

you are absolutely right. I do see regional airports as a additional and necessary infrastructure for underdeveloped regions. Not only to connect them with “the rest of the world” (feeder/commuter service), but also to assure, that the industry has access to the market as well. But I do see a problem as well: many regional airports can only generate traffic in addition with public-service obligations on these routes. I do agree with this operation! But in fact, regional airports should develope there own niche-market.

about banks – totally agree. Mentioning people I did not mean giving them cash, no. Just invest some money to make PEOPLE lives a little better, not Co’s lives.
Example: pay for families with small children – to pay some health support more then susal obligatory.Sounds understandable and reasonable?

You are right Olga, but I – should have written but only – implied, that goods are things people need. It is the question on where to invest. Into strategic services like banks that have burned the money and caused this crisis in the first place, indecent salaries of managers? Or into products that start the money cycle. Without bread, the people starve. Without goods they have nothing to trade. “Service” or “non-essential” money-burners are not what I consider “important investments. We also need banks. But do we need that they own the country? The largest buildings are banks and insurances. What good have they been? So for the sake of people: It’s production that starts the cycle, even the service cycle. Food, but also luxuries.

Is it not goods that need streets? what about people?
Following your wording: what are that goods for if there no people to buy and use them? what are streets for if nobody is going for a walk? Cannot agree with you that GOODS are what’s that all about. People are what all the world is for! Anybody agrees?
